Episode Summary[]
- The party wakes up in the Cerise Sanctuary. Cam cooks breakfast with his sword. They talk about Kallas' letter and not Dagna's, despite Tadao's nudging. (He has obviously read the letters.) Dagna asks Kallas about his family and his past, and the party discusses going after Tinker. After more nudging from Tadao, Dagna tells Cam his parents are missing. He's glad, hoping this will mean an end to Jildos' wars. They decide to go see Hunk and let him decide whether to come with him, then look for Tinker in the Rainbow Wastes. On the way, they return to the druid city in the Scarlet Coast Forest, and Cyrus learns more about Bahamut from Jor'rell. Dagna asks about Cordata's death. The druids felt her life force leave the forest, and found her body eviscerated, hanging from the neck from a tree by a vine, near Silver Strings. They return to the ship to find Kibs, who asks to go with them, hoping at some point he can find out what happened to Cordata. After some Divine Sense and insight checks, the party agrees. Hunk wants to stay on the boat, but says he'll wait for them. Cam pretends not to cry. Kibs teleports them via tree to the Rainbow Wastes.
- Tinker has requested that Kallas meet him at the Teardal Inn. They decide that Kallas and Dagna will go into the tavern while everyone else stands watch outside; if they get into trouble, Dagna will dimension door them both out. They get directions from a farmer, who tells them that the Teardal Inn is "a wretched hive of scum and villainy". The episode ends with the inn coming into view.
